Lloyd Leach
CEO
Lloyd Leach, CEO to the Board of the Directors, for Allman Town Diaspora Project. Like
most board members, I grew up in the neighborhood, attended Allman Town Primary
School, Holy Trinity and then Vere Technical High, where I excelled in sport, particularly
football (soccer) and then on to the National scene.
I immigrated to the USA in the pursuit of more educational and professional opportunities.
My professional discipline is Informational Technology (IT). As a Tech I worked in various
leadership roles for industry giants such as AT&T and IBM. Outside of my Tech endeavors
I became well known musical promoter working with some of the Hall of famers in the industry.
I was first introduced to the ATD initiative to help with its startup. I have always had a passionate desire to give back and contribute to upliftment of my communities that gave me so much. My goal is to support the Allman Town Schools in its quest to overcoming the Digital divide, in this effort, I would like to encourage young minds, and to let them know that they too can level the uneven playing Field of life and create a brighter future for themselves and families.
Derrick Wright
President
Derrick Wright, President of Allman Town Diaspora, I grew up on 4A Regent Street, Allman Town until the age of 17 and relocated abroad to Brooklyn, New York, where I resided for several year before laying my roots in Chicago, Illinois, where I currently reside. I am married and My wife and I have three lovely children. I am employed in the science field, servicing electron microscopes for over 40 years and will be retiring this year. I am one of the founding members of the organization, my goal is to support the schools in any capacity that is needed while helping to maintain and implement the level of preparedness that is required to cultivate future leaders and professionals.We the board of ATD plan to garner support for all youths in Allman Town and the surrounding communities. Our focus are the schools, we wish to help support their efforts in providing world class education to the next generation of students and instill high morals standards to successfully achieve the next level of education.
Monica Barnett Douglass
DIRECTOR
Judith Monica Ricketts. I was born on raised in Allman Town, attended Alpha Primary School and St Hugh’s High School. I am the current Secretary of the Allman Town Diaspora Board. I love the Community in which I grew up and will do whatever I can to help. I work with kids in the health field and will to continue doing that, I would love to help with a program to develop student’s health and Educational wealth.
Howard Wright
Vice President
I grew up as a member of 8 siblings at 4A Regent Street until the age of 16 when I migrated the
Brooklyn, NY in December of 1971 and where I still reside.Growing up in Allman Town I attended both Bottom and Top schools as we all refer to them
before moving on to Holy Trinity. My brother (Derrick) and I were also members of the Cub Scouts at the St. Matthews Church during our earlier years.
Upon my arrival in New York I was immediately enrolled in Wingate High school where I
graduated in 1974 and went on to Fulton Community College Upstate NY. I represented them in
their Soccer Program where we gained National ranking in the top 10 for Junior Colleges.
I entered the U. S. Army in 1983, left at the Rank Staff Sergeant after 15 plus years active duty.
I’m currently employed with the NY State Courts .
I began sponsoring Allman Town schools and another in Top Hill St. Catherine, I return home to my community of Allman Town just about every year, therefore I still consider it my home though not physically a resident anymore but, I still have relatives there. My personal goal is to assist whenever and wherever I can to educate, motivate and encourage the youths and younger children to have positive pride in themselves and their community. Donald Stewart
Treasurer
Donald Livingston Stewart; affectionally called Danny. Present Treasurer of the ATD organization. Born, Raise and live in Allman town for 19 years, most of the time at 6 Regent St. Attended Allman Town Infant (bottom school), Allman Town Primary (top school), on to Holy Trinity Jr. High and then Grantham College. After Migrating to the US 1976 and I reside
In Baltimore Maryland where I still live with my wife and four children, two Grand and two step Grand. I am Employed as a Mechanic at Carter/Alban CAT. from 1977 to present. Derrick and Howard Wright, introduce me to the idea of ATD, I was excited to participate in helping to raise the quality life for the children in Allman Town schools and the surrounding communities at any level.
Lorna Jackson-Kennedy
SECRETARY
My name is Lorna Jackson-Kennedy – I attended Allman Town Infant and Primacy School, I then went unto St Hugh’s High school and after I attended CAST on the (campus of the Universities of the West Indies) where I studies Business Administration. I immigrated to the United Kingdom in 1985 and is still currently residing there.
I am currently employed with the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK as an Office Manager in Human Resources, then in finance with the London Procurement Partnership (LPP/NHS). I am also involved in entrepreneurial projects.
Whilst attending Allman Town my father had served as the Chairman of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) for several years so this has given me firm roots and a special love for my school and my time there was much fun where my siblings and I were involved in many creative activities (eg speech choirs, drama and singing), although I never lived in the area I would like to continue the excellent service my father had given during his time as the PTA chairman. I am glad I am given an opportunity to give back to ATP in whatever way I can.

An original Allman townits , I resided on John St , then Sarah St . Attened Allman town primary and Kingston senior in early years also Kingston technical and VTDI in Mona now known VTech . I also studied at Medgarevers college in Brooklyn and Hunter college in Manhattan. It’s my fervent desire to help make some positive changes in the sociopolitical and economical infrastructure in Jamaica , to be sure , together , we can make it happen .

Most of us growing up, and living, with similar conditions when times was much simpler, we were closer knitted families. Life was not as complicated and all about things, our parent stress the importance of a good education, “silver and gold will vanish away but a good education will never decay’. those are words we all heard day in and day out, we never understood or appreciated the meaning of what was said then but later years the light bulb became brighter and we all understood, so after many years of trying to living up to this mantra, it’s imperative we pass on the same advice to the next generation. because it’s still hold truth today.
